This summer, celebrity health coach and fitness instructor Magen Banwart teams up with The Hamptons Paddle Diva founder Gina Bradley** to bring you the best full body, fat burning, fun workout on the water.

Class begins with Bradley guiding you through a first rate standup paddleboard lesson focusing on form and paddle stroke for maximum speed on the water. Next, Banwart leads you through a comprehensive fat burning and strengthening program that combines high intensity intervals of paddle drills, her fave standing arm and ab work & barre class exercises (leg lifts, plies and planks). This class uses your body weight as resistance and a combination of standing and seated board work to tone and define muscles, lift the butt, and create a powerful core. The class ends off the board with a chill sequence of MB Yin Yoga stretches and organic green juice. You’ll leave feeling energized and balanced with a stronger and more youthful body. Plus, you'll have some great new skills and exercises to use when you feel like getting back on the board, havin’ a killer workout, or both.


This class is appropriate for all ages and fitness levels. However we ask that you please contact [email protected] if you have any pre-existing injuries or health concerns prior to registering for class.

** Gina Bradley

Since 1989, Gina Bradley has been teaching fitness and has 25 years of experience instructing water-sports including: SCUBA diving, sailing, windsurfing, and Stand up Paddling. She joins forces with Banwart to share her passion for the sport along with her infectious energy in this class.

Monday nights from July 8th Magen will be teaching a different MB Core for Technogym (MBCT) class on Greene street that includes some of her fave Yin Yoga stretches to help those with tight hips, legs and backs.

MBCT is a comprehensive, fat burning and strengthening class specifically designed around Technogym’s state of the art equipment. Using Technogym's Kinesis equipment, cardio equipment, free weights and physio balls  to burn fat, increase endurance, balance, strength and flexibility resulting in a strong and youthful body.  Set to motivating music, Magen uses high intensity interval training and a challenging combination of exercises to tone and define muscles, lift the butt and create a powerful core. Magen will include a series of long-held stretches in all of her classes as well as some Yin Yoga You’ll leave the class feeling energized and balanced. 

Please note-July Monday and Tuesday night classes are included in Magen's 21 Day Mind Body RE BOOT

Magen is available for one on one and  private group instruction for all of the classes she offers on schedule. She's also available to custom design a class for you and your group's needs.

MB Yin Yoga is a replenishing stretch practice that focuses on restoring the body and calming the mind. Simple, floor postures targeting those difficult to open areas like the hips and spine, are held for one five minutes. This gentle practice is very restorative and rehabilitative for the joints and muscles-especially the back and knees-and is beneficial to both newcomers and seasoned practitioners alike.  

 By holding a posture and relaxing into it, you'll gently tug at the deep, dense connective tissues of the body: tendons, ligaments and cartilage, which are drier and less elastic than muscles and difficult to keep healthy.   

Accessible to people of all ages MB Yin Yoga is fantastic for those of us with time constraints, immediate results from your first stretch. 

Experience Magen Banwart personally as she gently guides you into each posture set to soothing music. Her classes are simple and instructive and will leave you feeling lighter physically and mentally, more energized, healthy, and in charge of you own well being.  

MB Yin yoga is based on the same principles of  Yin Yoga and has its foundation in traditional Chinese medicine and the theory that our body’s network of connective tissue corresponds with the meridians (energy channels) of acupuncture. Therefore, strengthening and stretching connective tissue may be critical for your long-term health by  keeping these energy channels - and corresponding organs - functioning optimally. 

MB Yin yoga is an excellent supplement to yang* forms of yoga and exercise and sports such as running, cycling, tennis, golf and skiing.  

You will leave class feeling relaxed, yet energized. 

*Exercise that focuses on moving the blood and exercising the muscles. 


 Mats are provided but you may want to bring your favorite wooly or soft blanket to put on top of mats for maximum comfort.  

Tip: Your body cools in Yin so please bring/wear comfortable sweatpants/exercise pants and layers-long sleeve t-shirt & or sweatshirt.

Shall we revisit my love for Magen?

In case you didn't read my previous review of Magen's barre class, let me recap:

  • Magen could hand me a cup of gasoline and I would probably drink it. Because I know she would never feed me gasoline... do you know how that stuff is made?! Not sustainable. Though it isorganic I suppose.
  • Magen is an awesome teacher, and an awesome person. Her world revolves around finding new ways to be in balance and sharing that info with her clients. Like, it's not just her hobby or her job. That's who she is.


All we are saying... is give Yin a chance...

Yin will help you do a lot of things. Most importantly, it will reverse craziness. The craziness of an intense workout, the craziness of a stressful day at work; the craziness of living in New York City. When I first met Magen I didn’t get why she thought Yin was the most valuable of her offerings. She’s also a kick-ass barre teacher, so I thought, “really? You think Yin is more important than sweat?” Now I understand. What Yin will help you with, if you give it a chance:

  • Decompress
  • Avoid injury / heal injury through deep stretching
  • Calm the fuck down
  • Slow your breathing = slow your heartbeat
  • Learn to be still. So much harder than it sounds.
