​ Life's stress can take a toll on the body and mind and reduce our quality of life. 
Especially these days. 
Even those of us who exercise regularly sit too much and or do not stretch enough.
And over time, we develop joint and muscular stiffness at a minimum
but also chronic inflammation, postural issues, chronic pain,
a less than optimal immune system, and disease.  

The key to 
cultivating optimal mental, physical, and emotional resilience
​and to aging with power
is to have a strong, flexible, and calm mind and body, and spirit. 
​
The stretches, breathing, mindfulness, tapping,
and other stress management exercises in Yin Yoga with Magen
provide the much-needed balance for our lives.   
 
Yin Yoga is a style of yoga in which simple, floor poses
are held for 1-5 minutes on each side.
Yin focuses on energizing connective tissues
rather than on building strength, 

Connective tissue consists of fascia, ligaments, and tendons which surround and form your joints.
Yin Yoga's benefits include increased flexibility, range of motion, more stability within your joints, and a calmer, more focused mind. 


You will leave class feeling relaxed, yet energized and with a healthy glow inside and out.

                                                        About Magen's Yoga Training

Magen has been a student of anatomy, physiology, Pilates™, yoga, and meditation for over 30 years, Among other certifications, Magen received her Yoga Teacher Certification in Interdisciplinary Yoga from the Nosara Institute in Costa Rica and participated in a month-long Iyengar Yoga teacher training program in Santiago, Chile.

Magen also completed multiple teacher trainings including the Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Paul Grilley and Sarah Powers. Paul Grilley is the man who developed Yin Yoga as as style of yoga. Among many other important lessons,  it is from he and Sarah Powers that Magen cultivated her understanding of anatomy for yoga,  the TCM (Traditional Chinese medicine) and mindfulness-based aspects of the practice. 

Magen assisted Sarah Powers, in one of her week-long Yin Yoga teacher trainings at Kripalu Institute as well as one of her weekend Yin Yoga workshops at Exhale Spa. Magen is an avid learner and continuously furthers her education, evolving her transformative programs and classes, which include one-on-one customized offerings, as well as group sessions.

Decompress
Avoid injury/heal injury through deep stretching.
